What is the difference between nylon and cotton nylon

Nylon, commonly known as nylon, is used as PA raw material and is commonly seen as long filament. Cotton fiber is used as PP raw material and modified polypropylene, which is mostly used for short fibers. The specific difference depends on the category used. Generally, both cotton and nylon are non absorbent materials, so there is no difference in water absorption.

Water conductivity, due to the low melting point and good plasticity of modified PP, it is easy to process and commonly used for fibers such as triangular shaped yarns. Therefore, it can be said that this raw material has a core absorption effect to extract moisture, which can be used to manufacture quick drying clothes, etc. The same principle can also be used for insulation and various fillers. Nylon can also have this special effect if specially manufactured, but its high price makes it easier to utilize its fiber properties in other projects. As far as I know, there is also such manufacturing but it is sparse.

The outstanding advantage of nylon is that its wear resistance is higher than all other fibers, 10 times higher than cotton and 20 times higher than wool. Adding some polyamide fibers to blended fabrics can greatly improve its wear resistance; When stretched to 3-6%, the elastic recovery rate can reach 100%; Can withstand tens of thousands of twists and turns without breaking. The strength of polyamide fiber is 1-2 times higher than cotton, 4-5 times higher than wool, and 3 times higher than viscose fiber.

Specific gravity, cotton is lighter but used for fabrics with a small distance. Light fading, nylon is better. Strength, nylon is better, cotton is more prone to deformation.

In fact, although nylon and cotton nylon differ by a single word, there is a world of difference. Generally, there are not many comparable fabrics. Due to their different categories, nylon is mostly used in seamless underwear, high-speed warp knitting, stockings wrapping, and waterproof material manufacturing such as submachine jacket manufacturing. Cotton fiber is mostly used for filling and the production of special fabrics. There is not much intersection between the two raw materials.
